💧 Clean Water Supply Network Projects – Kunar & Nangarhar Provinces Funded by the People of Kuwait
Watan Relief & Development Welfare Organization (WRDWO) has successfully completed three major clean water network projects under its WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program in the eastern region of Afghanistan. These projects were generously funded by the People of Kuwait, aiming to provide clean and safe drinking water to communities suffering from chronic water shortages. Each project was implemented with a focus on sustainability through solar-powered systems and proper water storage solutions. The combined impact has improved the quality of life for nearly 200 households across Kunar and Nangarhar provinces.
📍 Project Locations & Highlights
1️⃣ Asmar District – Kunar Province A Solar Water Supply System was established in a remote mountainous area of Asmar district. This project provided 66 families with permanent access to safe drinking water through a deep well, solar-powered pump, and water reservoir. 2️⃣ Ghazniabad District – Kunar Province A similar Solar Water Network was built in Ghaziabad district, serving dozens of households in a hilly region where access to clean water was extremely limited. Now, local families enjoy reliable clean water and improved hygiene conditions. 3️⃣ Wach Tangi, 8th District – Jalalabad City, Nangarhar Province In Wach Tangi area of Jalalabad, a Deep Well and Solar Water System was installed, benefiting around 60 families. A storage tank was also constructed to ensure a consistent water supply for the community. ________________________________________
